Day 02 and 03: XAKANAXA CAMP - OKAVANGO DELTA
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Johannesburg International Airport for your flight to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. On arrival in Maun, you will be met by your safari guide who will assist with check in for your short flight to Xakanaxa Camp, our destination in the Moremi Game Reserve situated in the Okavango Delta.
The Moremi Game Reserve supports the most diverse habitat and animal populations in Botswana, with possible sightings of wild dog, cheetah and leopard being the highlights. Resident species include lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, zebra, kudu, lechwe, sable and the very rare roan antelope.
The following 2 days and nights will be spent at Xakanaxa Camp. The camp consists of luxury, spacious safari tents, with en-suite facilities. They are fully equipped and tastefully furnished.
The dining room is open fronted with reed walls and a thatched roof, and has a fully stocked bar. Wholesome meals, candle-lit dinners and a selection of fine wines will more than satisfy. The service is personalised and of a high standard. A rustic and friendly atmosphere prevails. During one of the afternoons, we will enjoy a boating excursion on the Xakanaxa Lagoons.

Day 04, 05 & 06: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Today we transfer to our mobile tented camp, situated in the Khwai River area in the North Eastern part of the Moremi. Our daily schedule is similar to that of our previous camp. We continue our safari experience by exploring and observing the animals in their natural environment. The large floodplains of this area provide grazing for various antelope species and these antelope are followed by the predators. The Khwai River forms the northern border of Moremi and this is where we will focus most of our time and game viewing activities.
We stop en-route for a simple lunch of sandwiches and fruit, before continuing towards our camp. Time to freshen up and relax before the evening meal cooked under an African sky. After dinner, the best part of the day: We relax under the stars around the campfire and shoot the breeze. Your guide will be on hand to answer questions, explain the program, allay any safety concerns and tell tall stories.
In the morning, it will be an early rise, with coffee and biscuits around the fire at first light. We head out in search of various predators (such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena), antelope (such as impala, lechwe, reedbuck, tsessebe) and other plains game such as giraffe, zebra, and of course the many beautiful bird species that inhabit this area. Hippopotamus are also abundant in the streams and lagoons that make up this vast area. We return to camp around 10:30 for Brunch. The early part of the afternoon is spent relaxing in, and around the camp. Once it becomes cooler towards the late afternoon we once again depart on a game-drive, returning to camp after sunset for our second night in the wilds.

Day 07 & 08: LINYANTI AREA
Departing Moremi Game Reserve, we will drive to our next destination – Savuti, one of Africa’s most densely populated predator areas and is also well known for its sightings of bull elephants. The Savuti waterhole offers an ever-changing spectacle of birds and wildlife.
We will spend our next two days in Savuti Camp which is situated in the Linyanti Reserve along the Savuti Channel in northern Botswana. The camp is built about 17 kilometres 'downstream' from the source of the Savuti. The channel stopped flowing due to seismic activity in 1980 and what was a Hippo-filled river, is now wide, open grasslands.
The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve offers one of Africa's most exhilarating wildlife experiences. The area covers 125,000 hectares (about 275,000 acres) of prime wildlife country situated between the Okavango and Chobe regions. Yet, there are only 26 rooms in 3 small camps that are allowed to access the game drive areas of this reserve. Elephants are one of the reserves prime attractions - especially in our winter months when they are forced to congregate along the waterways and around the waterholes of the area when the rainfall filled depressions and pans of the interior dry up. At times the reserve must have several thousand elephants roaming the area. Red Lechwe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Sable, Roan, Eland, Giraffe, Baboon, Monkey, Warthog, Crocodile and Buffalo are some of the other animals to be found here. That is besides the the predators ~ Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena ~ and the nocturnal animals ~ Bushbabies, Spring Hare, Aardwolf, Serval, Genet, Pangolin. Birding is great here ~ from the Okavango "specials", such as Slaty Egret, Whiterumped Babblers and Wattled Cranes, to the bushveld species.

Day 09 & 10: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Departing Savuti, we make our way east to the Chobe National Park, the second largest national park in Botswana which covers an area of 10 566 square kilometres. Chobe has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. On arrival at the lodge, enjoy some time to relax before setting out on an afternoon game activity. This afternoon we enjoy a sunset boat cruise, observing the game coming to quench their thirst in the cool waters of the Chobe River. This river is the life-blood for thousands of elephants and other species, especially in the dry season between June and October. Return to the lodge for dinner. We will spend two nights in our mobile tented camps, in en-suite tents.
