Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Fly ex Johannesburg with Air Botswana to Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta. On arrival you will be met by your safari guide, and welcomed into Botswana. We will have an opportunity to purchase any necessary items, before departing Maun for our destination, the Moremi Game Reserve, which is located in the eastern part of the Okavango Delta.
The Moremi Game Reserve is a diverse wilderness area, supporting many different animal populations. Resident species include lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, zebra, kudu, lechwe, sable and the very rare roan antelope. Sightings of wild dog, cheetah and leopard are a real highlight and a regular occurance.
Within an hour of leaving Maun, it is possible to view the first wildlife of the delta. We will stop en-route for a simple lunch of sandwiches and fruit, before continuing towards our camp.
Late afternoon arrival at our camp. Time to relax and settle in before dinner. After dinner, the best part of the day: We relax under the stars around the campfire and shoot the breeze. Your guide will be on hand to answer questions, explain the program, allay any safety concerns and tell tall stories.

Day 02: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
In the morning, it will be an early rise, with coffee and biscuits around the fire at first light. We head out in search of various predators (such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena), antelope (such as impala, lechwe, reedbuck, tsessebe) and other plains game such as giraffe, zebra, and of course the many beautiful bird species that inhabit this area. Hippopotamus are also abundant in the streams and lagoons that make up this vast area. We return to camp around 10:30 for Brunch. The early part of the afternoon is spent relaxing in, and around the camp. Once it becomes cooler towards the late afternoon we once again depart on a game-drive, returning to camp after sunset for our second night in the wilds.

Day 03: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
A repeat of the previous days’ activities, allowing a full day to observe and understand the surrounding wilds. By the end of this day we will have explored the western part of Moremi in great detail.

Day 04 & 05: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Today we move our camp to the Khwai River area in the eastern part of Moremi. Our daily schedule is similar to that of our previous camp. We continue our safari experience by exploring and observing the animals in their natural habitat. The large floodplains of this area provide grazing for various antelope species and these antelope are followed by the predators.
The Khwai River forms the northern border of Moremi and this is where we will focus most of our time and game viewing activities.

Day 06: BOTSWANA - JOHANNESBURG
After a relaxing morning, we depart Moremi Game Reserve and travel back to Maun. Fly from Maun to Johannesburg. On arrival, a representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel in an accessible vehicle. Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 07: JOHANNESBURG - CAPE TOWN
After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, South Africa’s most popular city, your guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Transfer to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront complex for lunch.
Time at leisure to explore the V&A Waterfront. Return to the hotel whenever you are ready.
Dinner will be at a local restaurant in the city this evening.

Day 08: CAPE TOWN – KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS AND TABLE MOUNTAIN
After breakfast we will depart the hotel for a morning excursion to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. These beautiful gardens cover an area of 528 hectares with 36 hectares of this being cultivated garden. The gardens are a celebration of South African flora - showcasing only indigenous South African plants. Fynbos, proteas, cycads and rolling lawns are intermingled with streams and ponds and well-laid out pathways for easy access.
Enjoy lunch in the gardens.
After lunch we will make our way to Cape Town’s most famous landmark - Table Mountain. A visit to Cape Town would not be complete without a cable car ride to the top of this massif (weather permitting). The top of Table Mountain offers spectacular views in all directions and gives a bird’s eye view of the city. The upper cable car station is situated at 1067 metres and the revolving cable car makes sure that your trip up and down gives you a good look in all directions. After our visit to Table Mountain, we will transfer back to the hotel.
During the evening we will drive through the colourful Malay Quarter, followed by dinner at one of the many trendy restaurants in the area.

Day 09: CAPE TOWN – CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
Today we explore what Sir Frances Drake termed: “The most beautiful peninsula encountered in the circumference of the earth. Our scenic drive follows the Atlantic coastline south passing through the sun drenched suburbs of Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. In Hout Bay we take to the sea on a short boat cruise and view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island. At the tip of the Cape Peninsula we visit Cape Point by funicular and the Cape of Good Hope, the South Western tip of the African continent. These are situated within the Cape Peninsula National Park which is the most visited park in South Africa. Also included in today’s outing will be a visit to Boulders Beach to view our resident African Penguin colony. A light lunch will be enjoyed en route.
Return to the hotel via quaint fishing villages along the False Bay coastline.
Dinner at a local restaurant, followed by return transfer to the hotel for a good nights rest.

Day 10: CAPE TOWN – WINELANDS OF THE CAPE
Today we visit the beautiful Cape Winelands. Apart from its natural beauty, this area is steeped in South African history. Some of the finest examples of Cape Dutch architecture can be seen as we drive through Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. These towns date back to the Dutch occupation in the late 1600’s and are situated within the heart of South Africa’s successful wine industry. En route we have the opportunity to enjoy a cellar tour and wine-tasting on one of our award winning wine estates. This will be followed by lunch. Return to our hotel in the late afternoon.
Dinner will be at a local restaurant this evening.

Enjoy your last day at leisure in Cape Town. Depending on your International flight departure, there may be time to take in some of the sights of Cape Town not yet encountered.
Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your homeward journey or continue on an extended itinerary.
