Detailed Itinerary:

Fly ex Johannesburg with Air Botswana to Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta. On arrival you will be met by your safari guide, and welcomed into Botswana. We will have an opportunity to purchase any necessary items, before departing Maun for our destination, the Moremi Game Reserve, which is located in the eastern part of the Okavango Delta.
The Moremi Game Reserve is a diverse wilderness area, supporting many different animal populations. Resident species include lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, zebra, kudu, lechwe, sable and the very rare roan antelope. Sightings of wild dog, cheetah and leopard are a real highlight and a regular occurance.
Within an hour of leaving Maun, it is possible to view the first wildlife of the delta. We will stop en-route for a simple lunch of sandwiches and fruit, before continuing towards our camp.
Late afternoon arrival at our camp. Time to relax and settle in before dinner. After dinner, the best part of the day: We relax under the stars around the campfire and shoot the breeze. Your guide will be on hand to answer questions, explain the program, allay any safety concerns and tell tall stories.

In the morning, it will be an early rise, with coffee and biscuits around the fire at first light. We head out in search of various predators (such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena), antelope (such as impala, lechwe, reedbuck, tsessebe) and other plains game such as giraffe, zebra, and of course the many beautiful bird species that inhabit this area. Hippopotamus are also abundant in the streams and lagoons that make up this vast area. We return to camp around 10:30 for Brunch. The early part of the afternoon is spent relaxing in, and around the camp. Once it becomes cooler towards the late afternoon we once again depart on a game-drive, returning to camp after sunset for our second night in the wilds.

Today we move our camp to the Khwai River area in the eastern part of Moremi. Our daily schedule is similar to that of our previous camp. We continue our safari experience by exploring and observing the animals in their natural habitat. The large floodplains of this area provide grazing for various antelope species and these antelope are followed by the predators.
The Khwai River forms the northern border of Moremi and this is where we will focus most of our time and game viewing activities.
